We thought it would be a perfect time to affirm the source of goodness that exists in all of our lives. 

When we are thankful, we create an opportunity to magnify the goodness and it gives us the potential to thread together a life of being grateful.

And gratitude is deeply important because it helps us feel good, but also because it helps us do good. 

So today we choose to live with gratitude for the love that fills our hearts, the peace that surrounds us as we trust in Him, and the voice of hope that reminds us that all things are possible with God.

Delicious RISE Labor Day Meals

Here are a few of our favorite Labor Day recipes that we have rounded up for the weekend festivities.

Flank Steak with Chimichurri sauce

 Ingredients

1/3 cup soy sauce

1/3 cup lemon juice

½ cup olive oil

¼ cup Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon minced garlic

2 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon pepper

½ teaspoon salt

11/2-pound flank steak

Chimichurri Sauce

 ½ cup parsley

1 cup cilantro

2 tablespoon fresh oregano

3 cloves garlic, minced

½ cup red onion chopped

¼ cup red wine vinegar

½ cup olive oil

Salt and pepper

Pinch of red pepper flakes

 Directions

 In a food processor add all the chimichurri ingredients. Pulse until combined and smooth. Serve immediately or refrigerate up to two weeks.

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together all the ingredients. Add steaks to a resealable zip lock bag and marinate for 2 hours or overnight.
  2. Turn the grill to medium high heat. Add the steaks. Cook steaks to the desired doneness.
